Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today, with about $70 billion of a $600 billion advertising market already online. Search engines, web publishers, major ad networks, and ad exchanges are now serving billions of ad impressions per day and generating terabytes of user events data every day. The rapid growth of online advertising has created enormous opportunities as well as technical challenges that demand computationally intelligence and scalable algorithms. Eventually Computational Advertising has emerged as a new interdisciplinary field that involves information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, linear algebra, and micro-economics, to solve challenging problems that arise in online advertising.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to drive significant portions of the Microsoft Audience ads. The technology spans across very large-scale distributed systems, large data pipelines ad front end development. As an engineering lead, you will rive eh development of some of the upcoming ad products. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and maintenance of the systems.
Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or related engineering field
10+ years’ experience developing and shipping software products and/or services with expertise in full stack development.
Hands-on manager with proficiency in various engineering tools, software, and methodologies, and be able to apply them to solve real-world problems.
3+ years of experience architecting, developing, deploying, and monitoring Distributed Systems.
Knowledge of Ad-tech domain
Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills, proven track record in shipping software on time, with high quality.
Proven track record in leading development teams and the ability to grow talented SDEs
Great team player and communicator, strong believer in collaboration and teamwork
Experience and success in working with ambiguity and taking risks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred.
