JOB DESCRIPTION
A Principal Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Architect is a multi-talented information technology professional and accomplished BC/DR expert that will contribute to a dynamic, infrastructure design team making a difference. The Principal BC/DR Architect core objectives include designing information technology solutions that enable 24x7x365 business continuity for a leading semiconductor company of intelligent power and sensing technologies.
The role requires versatility along with initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive BC/DR design and engineering expertise, know how to think “outside-the-box”, and will be responsible for the BC/DR architecture of critical corporate, engineering and manufacturing infrastructure. The Principal BC/DR Architect will work closely with other architects, infrastructure team members, application developers, and business stakeholders. Adhering to industry best practices to support onsemi’s business objectives and user community experience is of utmost importance.
REQUIREMENTS:
BC/DR subject matter expert
Minimum of 20 years’ progressive information technology experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience designing and engineering BC/DR solutions in an enterprise environment
Minimum of 8 years’ of enterprise backup/recovery expertise using solutions such as Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam, Zerto, or Rubrik
Minimum of 4 year’s of Azure or AWS cloud backup/recovery experience
Extensive experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud BC/DR solutions
Experience with VMware virtual machine backup/recovery
Extremely self-motivated professional who is committed to success, quickly adapting to change and maintaining composure in high-pressured environments
Backup/recovery experience of containerized workloads (e.g. Kubernetes)
Solid Linux and/or Windows system administration competency
Solid storage experience with NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, or Dell/EMC SAN and NAS products
Experience with public cloud storage (Azure Blobs, Files, Queues, Tables, and Disks; AWS EBS, S3, FSx, etc.)
