HP Inc. Lead UI (User Interface) Designer in Bangalore, India

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for shaping the user Interface of digital products, applications, or systems. The role requires a strong blend of design creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of user behaviors and preferences. The role collaborates with development teams to guide the implementation of design concepts, ensuring design integrity is maintained. The role plans and drives execution of UI concepts, Prototyping, leveraging user feedback to iterate and refine designs for optimal user satisfaction. The role guides, mentors, and inspires a team of Visual, Interaction and user experience designers, fostering creativity and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Leads multiple project teams of other designers responsible for all stages of user experience design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms, including experience/information architecture, validation, and specifications.

  • Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced design and development partners to coordinate design activities, evaluate concepts and offerings, and recommend changes to products or services to improve user experience.

  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with user experience design and development guidelines and standards.

  • Works closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design integrity and usability requirements are met.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall user experience design leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the user experience design organization.

  • Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience.

  • Improves on user experience methods, tools, intellectual capital and reusable assets that improve methodology and sustain competitive advantage.

  • Works with stakeholders to determine content development needs and solutions.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Design, Human Factors Engineering, Social Sciences research, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in design principles, human factors engineering, social sciences research, or a related field.
