Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled UI developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of rich user interfaces for our scientific applications. As a developer, you will work closely with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective interfaces. The candidate would be a highly motivated fast learner who can self-start and “figure out what needs figuring out”. Should be able to lead and challenge the team technically. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively document artefacts and processes. Is authentic, open and leads by example, holding self and others accountable.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain search applications and solutions using interface frameworks such as Angular JS, Angular 10 or above, JQuery, REST API, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap.

Collaborate to discuss requirements and understand business needs for .

Proactively look for ways and patterns to continuously automate feature testing with measurable and tangible goals

Anticipate needs and problems while creating solutions. Is willing to ask difficult questions and explore innovative approaches. Greets challenge and change it to opportunity.

Actively participate in the development community of practices in sharing and learning standard methodologies, leading initiatives within the community and involve in other organization initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • 0-2 years of experience with Java Script/JQuery/Typescript (primary language).

  • Hands-on experience of user interface frameworks such as Angular JS, Angular 10 or above, JQuery, REST API, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap.

  • Hands-on experience in databases and responsive UI and Java Knowledge is desired.

  • Significant experience using Agile software development methodologies.

  • Exposure to Linux development environment is a plus.

  • Significant understanding of object oriented design and programming.

  • Exposure to developing multi-tier, scalable, and browser based applications. Cloud-based applications using AWS is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Amazon Web Services or other leading cloud deployment platforms and services

Experience using Agile Scrum development processes, Jira and Confluence.

Experience in the Life Sciences domain, especially genomics applications

Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalently technical subject areas.
