This role reports to the Director, Datacenter & Cloud Operations.

The role will provide guidance and solution design for a global, multi-cloud architecture supporting a hybrid cloud model across multiple operating companies. The role will partner with infrastructure and product team leads to modernize both infrastructure and application architecture, driving towards best practices around Infrastructure as Code, DevOps and associated cloud native platforms.

This role will be an active member of the Cloud Center of Excellence, working closely with a cross-functional team of Cloud Architects, Security Architects, Application Developers and other business functions to define and govern best practices in Cloud Operations, Application Development and Platform Governance. This role will be a hands-on Cloud Architect, delivering detailed designs in all aspects of Cloud Services and platform design from networking, storage and compute to various PaaS and integrated SaaS services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead the development and implementation of cloud financial management strategies to maximize cost efficiency while maintaining high-performance standards.

• Maintain deep, comprehensive knowledge of Vontier Operating Company application portfolios.

• Utilize your expertise in cloud cost management tools to analyze, monitor, and forecast cloud expenses.

• Evaluate existing systems and provide technical direction to IT support staff.

• Recognize and develop opportunities to leverage Cloud native patterns and practices to drive business value.

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, track spending patterns, and recommend actionable insights.

• Create metrics and review operational performance indicators to ensure effectiveness and efficiency and makes recommendations for improvement.

• Design and implement financial reporting systems that provide detailed insights into cloud usage, cost allocation, and optimization progress.

• Manage cloud cost governance, establish budget controls, and create dashboards to provide real-time visibility into cloud spending.

• Lead training and awareness programs to educate teams on best practices for cloud cost management and FinOps principles.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in FinOps, cloud economics, and technology cost optimization.

WHO YOU ARE

• More than 7 years of proven experience in FinOps, financial analysis, or cloud cost management.

• Proficiency in cloud cost management tools such as Apptio, ITBM/TBM, and experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Engaging presentation style, with the ability to control and manage multiple presentation scenarios.

• Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple campaigns at the same time.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve financial goals.

• Professional Level Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect)
