IBM Automation Test Engineer in Bangalore, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and data sets to support PRM Salesforce development projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design documentation.

  • Execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios on schedule (including Functional, Systems Integration, and Regression Testing) and log defects as necessary.

  • Measure your success by the stability of production environments and the reduction in defect rates.

  • Assess the functional and non-functional requirements of PRM applications for testability and identify suitable candidates for automation.

  • Create and implement test automation strategies, focusing on maximizing the reusability of automated regression tests for PRM features.

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate PRM-specific functionalities within Salesforce.

  • Identify and address regression testing needs, building and maintaining an Automated Regression Suite tailored to PRM.

  • Generate and deliver detailed test execution reports.

  • Collaborate closely with architects to analyze end-to-end PRM scenarios, gather requirements, and design automated test cases.

  • Maintain and optimize automated scripts within the existing framework, ensuring adherence to coding standards.

  • Research and suggest alternative automation tools to enhance productivity and test coverage.

  • Participate in troubleshooting efforts, driving root cause analysis and resolution of issues related to PRM Salesforce implementations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in test automation, primarily using Java with Selenium, preferably within the context of Salesforce or data-centric projects.

  • Expertise in developing test scripts using tools like Selenium, combined with Gherkin/Cucumber frameworks, specifically for Salesforce PRM applications.

  • Strong understanding of database fundamentals, with experience in complex SQL queries (e.g., DB2, Oracle, MySQL).

  • Experience as a Test Automation Specialist, capable of acting as a Data Steward and preparing test data with support from Business Analysts/Product Owners in a Salesforce environment.

  • Proficiency with source control management tools like GitHub and Jenkins.

  • Extensive experience using Agile lifecycle management tools such as Jira.

  • Proven ability to build test strategies and plans for data-centric and Salesforce PRM application development projects.

  • Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment within Salesforce.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Scala, with specific experience in Salesforce development.

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and experience working with cloud infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, querying using SQL, and exposure to ETL processes related to Salesforce PRM data.

  • Expertise in testing cloud-native applications with high-volume data.

  • A self-driven individual who can work independently toward goals with a creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to manage change effectively, with strong time management and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to staying current with the latest technical advancements through continuous education and professional development.
