Job Description:

• Manage and administer both GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud environments, leveraging solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and proficiency with cloud service providers such as AWS & Azure.

• Oversee the migration of repositories from various platforms to GitHub Enterprise Cloud utilizing migration tools, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

• Implement and manage GitHub Actions, including YAML, workflow syntax, and authoring workflows, to streamline development processes and enhance automation.

• Utilize Co-pilot to optimize development workflows, understanding GitHub Actions workflow fundamentals, and leveraging GitHub Copilot for Business when applicable.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to GitHub administration, DevOps, and cloud services, incorporating new methodologies and technologies into GitHub workflows.

• Administer GitHub Pages, including creating and maintaining branches and pull requests, configuring protected branches, and setting up required status checks, to effectively manage project documentation and deployment.

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise Site Administration, including auditing account activities and managing organizations and teams, to maintain security and compliance within GitHub environments.

• Implement and manage GitHub Enterprise policies for compliance and governance purposes, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline. 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in GitHub administration or a similar role.

• Proficiency in using GitHub CLI and Git commands.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud service providers such as AWS & Azure.

• Strong understanding of GitHub workflows, including GitHub Actions, GitHub Pages, and repository management.

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks related to GitHub administration.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
