Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 engineers and evaluate their work on a daily basis.

  • Closely work with customer leads, MFT and support in technical troubleshooting.

  • Proactively resolve technical queries and provide justification to engineering panel.

  • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to close WQN review / PDR and CDR actions.

  • Work in a challenging work environment and meet deadlines.

  • Support estimation and technical scoping.

  • Work within a large design team which requires constant communication to ensure the best solution was realized and implemented at low cost without compromising on technical requirements.

  • Demonstrate ability to use international and customer specific aerospace specifications and methodologies to achieve a deliverable solution.

  • Enhance existing design to accommodate new service goals.

  • This role may require occasional travel to the customer site for brief durations

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Knowledge & experience of Aerostructure (Primary/ Secondary)

  • Experience in Aircraft Wing structures will be an added advantage.

  • Exposure across A320, A330 and A350 CPD/ID programs.

  • Understanding of aerospace material properties, manufacturing methods and practices with their effects on aircraft performance.

  • Create design definitions of a work-package, including integration, interfaces, dimensions, materials, parts, manufacturing process requirements, assemblies, and tolerances which are compliant to all design requirements and objectives.

  • Applying knowledge of Airbus standards and procedures to create compliant design data packages (BOM/ECN/2D/3D).

  • Familiar with Airbus MOD change process like DG reviews, Requirements Review, PDR, CDR & DFM.

  • Perform Assembly studies, Installation studies & tooling studies.

  • Conceptual design skills, iterative designs & development of design solutions for aircraft metallic parts (machined & formed).

  • Perform Design investigation independently and propose engineering solutions with minimal support

  • Decision making on selection of Aerospace materials/Fasteners/M&P/Corrosion resistant materials/Protective treatment.

  • Strong working knowledge in CATIA (sheet metal, machined components, Assemblies and drafting)

  • Working knowledge of WQN/DQN/Full MOD investigation and implementation phases
