Johns Hopkins University Research Program Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

The Division of Transplant Surgery and the Department of Medicine's Division of Infectious Diseases Transplant Research Center (TRC) is looking for a bright, hardworking Research Program Coordinator to join our group as an integral part of our clinical research team. Our research focuses on solid organ transplantation and in particular novel transplantation practices such as organ donation from donors with HIV and hepatitis C. We are also studying COVID-19 in the transplant recipient population. The responsibilities of the position focus on administrative, regulatory, and operations support for the Program. The position requires precision in documentation of clinical data, maintenance of regulatory methods, research participant and patient scheduling, and miscellaneous administrative responsibilities.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the daily operation, pre-study visit preparation, and sample collection for multiple clinical research studies and grants.

  • Schedule study-related visits or procedures, communicating with participant and study team dates/times of study visits.

  • Enter participants into Clinical Research Management System and update as indicated.

  • Prepare pre-study visit packets and sample collection kit.

  • Review study consents for completeness, scan and file according to internal SOPs.

  • Maintain regulatory documents according to internal SOPs.

  • Assist with data entry for assigned studies.

  • Assist with picking up study biospecimens and deliver to specific Johns Hopkins Laboratories or ship to external sites.

  • Assist outside monitors during study audits.

  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support for the Program with regard to keeping records, supply procurement, meeting scheduling, and subject reimbursements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

  • Required work schedule 5 days per week on-site.

  • Position requires significant mobility, and ability to walk back and forth between university, lab, and hospital.

  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds overhead and pick up and carry objects up to 15 pounds.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($48,880 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Full Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
