Loyola University Maryland Assistant Teaching Professor in Baltimore, Maryland

Position Details:

THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY MARYLAND invites applications for a one-year, full-time non-tenure track visiting assistant teaching professor with an ability to teach research methods/introductory statistics, and other content courses such as cognitive psychology, and/or neuropsychology (flexible based on candidate’s area of expertise), to begin in August 2024. The person hired for this position will be expected to teach 4 courses per academic semester (fall and spring). The successful candidate must also be able to hold dedicated office hours and participate in limited additional department service. Required Qualifications: (1) an earned masters or doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology or other social science discipline, with subject matter expertise open; (2) the ability to teach courses in research methods (study designs; descriptive and inferential statistics),; (3) prior teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness; (4) the ability to create a sense of inclusion and belonging in the classroom, and to infuse multicultural content into course material as appropriate; (5) strong commitment to excellence in teaching, including an appreciation of or engagement in high-impact teaching practices; and (6) ability to contribute to the Jesuit educational mission of the department and university.
