The goal of theAssistantHousekeeping Manageris to work directly with and in the absence of theHousekeeping Managerto managingthe day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department.The idealAssistant Housekeeping Managerwillaccomplishthis bymonitoringthe daily functions of thehousekeepingdepartment, including providingtraining,supportand guidance to thehousekeepingteam, ending in a positive guest experience.

TheAssistant Housekeeping Managerwill be responsibleto manageall functions related to thecleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house non-kitchen areas, as well as the laundry.

AsanAssistant Housekeeping Manager, you will be reporting directly to theHousekeeping Managerand below are some of the key responsibilities:

  • To ensure through effective supervision that all services offered in the Housekeeping Department are always available andare carried outwith the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the departmental operations manual.

  • Conducts regular inspections of rooms and public areasensuringstandards of cleanlinessismaintainedat all times.

  • Conducts inventory of equipment, linen, chinaware, and glassware and reports to Executive Housekeeper.

  • To liaise with the Front Office onanticipatedguestcheckins, check outs,roomsassignments and rooming list.

  • Ensures that all Housekeeping Assistant Managers, Team Leaders and Attendants deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

  • Handles guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

  • Monitors employee morale andprovidemechanisms for performance feedback and development.

  • Respond to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and to changes as dictated by the hotel, industry & company.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity/ position in luxury international brands.

  • Eloquent in English communication in both written and spoken.

  • Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills area must.

  • Demonstrated abilityto effectively interactwith people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Mustpossessthe followingstrengths:has strong leadership, high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.

  • Well-versed in housekeeping, publicareaand laundry operational

  • Is well versed in working with Property Management System such asOpera,Medallia,Hotsos, as well as other PMS systems and departmental reports.
