Summary
Perform aircraft weapons related tasks on installed F-16 launch, release, monitoring, gun, gun mount, handle release munitions, test equipment, components, and sub-components supporting weapons systems on aircraft inducted into the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform disassembly, inspections, and reassembly of M61A1 gun systems
Perform removal, inspection, and reinstallation of digital triple ejector racks, MAU-12 bomb racks, Wing weapons pylons, and LAU-129 missile launcher
Trouble shoot, test, and repair, if necessary stores management systems
Perform operation checkouts, ensuring systems reliability
Replaced the wiring harness for required munitions stations supporting on aircraft TCTOs
Using Multiplex Bus Fault Isolator (MBFI), Stores System Tester (SST), Multimeter, and various other testers, perform required electrical test verifying system reliability and functionality
Perform other duties as assigned
Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain a CAC card
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship.
Ability to pass physical screening requirements
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Desired: Completed Technical or Military School Training
4 Years related experience on USAF fighter aircraft.
Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other incomplete data.
PREFERRED
F-16 Avionic and/or Electrical System USAF 7 – Level
Current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with Airframe
Ability to work in an austere environment and to perform work in a hangar or aviation field environment
Work Conditions
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.
Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
