EXACT STAFF Purchase and Inventory Specialist in Bakersfield, California
We are currently seeking a Purchase and Inventory Specialist in Bakersfield, CA ! You will be responsible for managing the purchasing and inventory processes for a farming operation. This includes sourcing and purchasing supplies, equipment, and materials needed for farming operations, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of inventory.
Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday- Friday and every other Saturday 8:00AM- 4:30PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/HR
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Insure receipt and inspection of incoming materials and supplies
Maintain accuracy of physical inventory in Infor EAM utilizing regular cycle counts
Oversee maintenance of all records regarding material purchases and receipts
Support users in the farming division with Infor EAM for purchasing and inventory management
Insure prompt and accurate execution of purchase orders from inception through completion
Process purchase order receipt transactions and voucher invoices for prompt vendor payments
Provide professional service to both internal and external customers
Maintain organization and cleanliness of storeroom area
Ensure the confidentiality of Grimmway financial and proprietary information
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of purchasing/inventory/warehouse management related work experience utilizing an enterprise-level application (ERP, EAM, etc.)
Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word skills
Must be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy and a structured workflow
Must perform well with multiple priorities and be customer focused with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Positive attitude with a team mentality as well as flexible and adaptable to change
Must have good communication skills
Remote work not available for this position
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
