Robert Half Patient Care Coordinator in Bakersfield, California

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Patient Care Coordinator who will be based in Bakersfield, California. The primary function of this role is to ensure optimal patient care within the healthcare industry. The individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks including patient registration, insurance verification, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient registration and pre-registration activities efficiently

• Conduct thorough verification of patient's insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations

• Maintain and update all patient demographics accurately

• Handle the collection of co-payments and other patient liabilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all patients

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and explain the same to patients

• Communicate patient financial responsibilities and rights clearly

• Use Microsoft Excel and other office functions to maintain records and perform billing functions

• Answer inbound calls and schedule appointments as required

• Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining files, producing correspondence, and preparing spreadsheets and presentations

• Supervise the overall functioning of the business unit to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service

• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with Office Functions and administrative tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets

• Experience in Training staff and conducting Presentations

• Understanding of company Policies and ability to implement them

• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls professionally and efficiently

• Ability to Schedule Appointments and manage calendars

• Knowledge of Billing Functions and Insurance policies

• Experience in Supervising teams and maintaining Productivity

• Ability to handle Benefit Functions and Check Processing efficiently

• Understanding of Collection Processes and Correspondence management

• Administrative Assistance experience in a healthcare setting

• Familiarity with HealthCare.gov and its functions

• Proficiency in 10 Key Skills for data entry

• Experience with Authorizations in a healthcare setting

• Ability to work with various Business Units and understand their needs
