Specific Duties:
Register and Pre-Register patients
Verifies Insurance eligibility benefits and authorizations
Verify patient demographics
Collect co-pay co-insurance and deductibles.
Provides excellent customer service.
Requirements
Must have qualifications/experience:
Type 45 wpm 10 key by touch
Insurance knowledge of all payers HMO PPO government
Computer skill work excel
Customer Service
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department physician office setting healthcare insurance company revenue cycle vendor and/or other revenue cycle related roles.
Applicable education and/or training can be used to balance a lack of experience. High school graduate or equivalent. Medical insurance verification experience. Collections/Cashier background Type 40 WPM Weekend work Sunday through Saturday hours vary. Must be flexible and work flexible hours. General computer knowledge and 10 key.
