ManpowerGroup Electrical Power Design Engineer in Bakersfield, California

Our client, a large electrical engineering firm, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Power Design Engineer, you will be part of the Power Engineering Team supporting multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have strong power systems design, an industrial and manufacturing consulting background and excellent client interfacing skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Power Design Engineer

Location: Bakersfield, CA (Relocation provided)

Pay Range: $120K-$160K+ base DOE plus sign on bonus and bonus

What’s the Job?

  • Design and construction of industrial plant power systems

  • Interfacing with clients for power systems projects, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.

  • Performing electrical calculations and studies of arc flash analysis, load flow, protective relay coordination and short circuits using ETAP

  • Occasional local travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, presenting power solutions, etc.

What’s Needed?

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (BSEE)

  • 7+ years' experience in power systems design and distribution including work for an electrical consulting company working with industrial manufacturing companies

  • 5+ years' experience performing electrical calculations and studies of arc flash analysis, short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, etc.

  • 5+ years' experience with ETAP

  • SEL relay experience preferred; GE acceptable
