Nexstar Media Group Assistant I, Sales in Bakersfield, California

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Media Sales Assistant to join our team at the top TV station in Bakersfield. The Media Sales Assistant will provide support to the sales department and ensure the smooth operation of our media sales processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the sales team with administrative tasks, including proposal preparation, contract drafting, and order entry

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of advertising materials

• Develop a deep understanding of our media products and services and be able to communicate them effectively to clients

• Conduct research on client accounts, competitors, and industry trends to identify new sales opportunities

• Assist in creating sales presentations and reports

• Help maintain client relationships by responding to client requests and inquiries promptly

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of sales data in the CRM system

• Attend client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as require

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred but not required.

• 1-2 years of experience in media sales or a related field is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-starter and a team player with a positive attitude

Compensation - $16 - $17hr commensurate with experience and skill level
