Role Overview/Summary:

The EBSO Sr. Manager (Lean) is responsible for working with our Global Team of EBS Fundamental and Lean Practitioners (Corporate Directors) promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Envista Business System (EBS) at Envista companies, allowing those sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.

The Sr. Manager EBSO LEAN helps to create EBS Sustainability both broadly across Envista and in a targeted fashion at priority OpCos / Sites.

This position reports to a Vice President of EBSO and will be primarily based (need to reword to emphasize onsite work at least 50% time with some WFH flexibility. out of our 2 Envista sites in Mexicali, Mexico.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate results in SQDC by leveraging EBS tools, mentoring skills, and change management processes.

  • Work with OpCo plant managers, operations / supply chain directors, and value stream leaders to achieve supply chain goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate / Mentor with site and value stream leaders to provide ‘productive tension’ and collaboration broadly to utilize EBS properly to drive sustainable results.

  • Directly provide formal and informal EBS training and mentoring at Gemba.

  • Assist in achieving site and OpCo KPI objectives.

  • Regularly participate in daily management meetings.

  • Ensure impactful kaizen events at mentored sites.

  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate EBS tools to eliminate them.

  • Promote and facilitate associate development in EBS Fundamentals, Lean tools and other EBS tools as required.

Leading a Virtual Team – this role will Lead a Team of Global Associates and therefore the ability to both engage and motivate a Global Virtual Team is important.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 4 years’ leadership experience in operations, Materials, Engineering or other supply chain disciplines or equivalent experience.

  • 3 years experience as a Lean or OpEx change agent and influencer working with multiple sites and disciplines.

  • Must have the ability to travel to Internationally up to 25% of available time. External candidates should expect 50-75% travel to U.S. sites for the first 3 months but averaging 25-50% thereafter

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel Skills; ability to run formulas and pivot tables.

  • Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience operating in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment where re-prioritization is constant, knowing that ultimately all tasks need to be completed on time.

  • Able to effectively deal with difficult situations while remaining composed.

  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Strong problem-solving ability, including a high degree of creativity.

  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English
