Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. This role involves managing material flow, operating machinery, and ensuring product quality. Whether you are an entry-level candidate or have experience in mechanical operations, this position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the conversion of micro-prism films.
Manage material flow to the machines and load film on and off machines.
Slit material to appropriate widths and lengths as required and set up and perform splices.
Follow all required ISO documentation.
Monitor machines, make adjustments as needed, and perform quick quality checks to ensure product conformance.
Monitor and record pressure and ranges as required.
Process work orders in ERP systems.
Retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process.
Enter requests in the Computer Maintenance Management System.
Maintain documentation of all required machine reports.
Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Essential Skills
Ability to show mechanical aptitude in some capacity.
6 months or more experience in an industrial environment.
Preferably experience in assembly or machine operating.
Open to candidates with trade school experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude and experience with manufacturing processes.
Ability to use tape measures and hand tools.

Work Environment
Our manufacturing floor operates on 3 shifts, using various types of machines for the conversion of micro-prism films. The facility is very clean, high-tech, well-lit, and spacious, with an additional building being added soon to almost double the size. There is a gym above the manufacturing floor with a locker room area accessible to all employees. PPE is required, including steel or composite-toed shoes and safety glasses, with hearing protection in the casting area. Schedules are as follows: 1st shift (M-F 6:00am-2:00pm), 2nd shift (M-F 2:00pm-10:00pm), and 3rd shift (Sun-Thu 10:00pm-6:00am). Training is on the 1st shift for up to 4 months. Some overtime is provided but not mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00
