Position Summary

The Director of Workforce Development Programs at Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ) directs, steers, implements, and maintains all AUTMHQ external and internal programs and program participant (AUTMite) services to advance AUTMHQ's workforce development objectives. Strategize and execute ways to identify, target, recruit, onboard, enroll, manage AUTMites receiving our services. Supervise Program Coordinators, administrative staff, volunteers, and/or interns to ensure AUTMites complete our services and are placed in employment. Provide documented support and serve as a resource to other personnel, volunteers, and external partners. Ensure objectives of programs and services are achieved within budget guidelines. Formulate and recommend policies that advance AUTMHQ's competitive position and profitability. Oversee activities so that approved deliverables are completed on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Collaborate to ensure the organization's many programs, events, and initiatives are efficiently harnessed by the larger community.

Collaborate with management, administrators, volunteers, and other stakeholders to implement and grow AUTMite services and programs.

Supervise the Program Coordinators and staff to ensure the efficient operation of AUTMite programs, scheduling, and components; assess support needs and materials for delivering services which conform to established guidelines.

Provide leadership to Program Coordinator, volunteers, interns, and other staff, solicit feedback, and analyze the effectiveness of programs.

Report to funders

Ensure AUTMite exposure and registration for wraparound services.

Ensure AUTMite placement in jobs and attendance at events.

Compile and evaluate data to analyze challenges, ensure compliance with grant funding and organization policies, track and monitor program parts and results.

Respond to issues and concerns involving staff, AUTMites, volunteers, and external partners. Resolve conflicts in policies and regulations. Address community concerns and requests.

Develop processes, plans, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures regarding AUTMite recruitment, placement, retention, progress to completion and employment.

Manage risk, resources, dropout prevention and data analysis; innovate.

Manage and work with staff to identify AUTMites who are not making adequate programmatic progress and design appropriate interventions.

Suggest processes to improve program functions.

Build relationships with partners, peers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
