BURGESS & NIPLE INC Transportation Project Manager in Austin, Texas

BandN is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to conduct, produce, lead and/or manage, and pursue transportation planning and engineering studies. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in general transportation and traffic planning (regional transportation plans, corridor studies, area studies), transportation safety planning/engineering (SS4A, Road Safety Assessments, project-level analysis, etc.), and transportation engineering studies. This position can be filled in either our Austin offices or San Antonio, TX.

BandN Transportation Project ManagerResponsibilities:

  • Be a member of BandN's Southwest Transportation team for contracts in Texas and Arizona with the opportunity to engage in a mix of local and national projects dependent on workload and opportunities
  • Actively participate, produce/deliver, and/or lead transportation planning and engineering projects
  • Direct the work of others, develop staff, and continue building your own technical skillset
  • Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery
  • Conduct extensive agency coordination, planning and programming, and work with multi-discipline teams
  • Identify opportunities with new and existing clients and help position BandN for success Expand relationship depth with key existing and new clients
  • Support the preparation of proposals, interviews and lead scope development and execution upon selection

Skills and Qualifications:

  • [Educational Requirement: Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program and PE registration in the State of Texas (or ability to be registered with reciprocity)ORBachelor degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, Geography (urban or transportation), or Economics]{#_Hlk167192224}
  • 8+ years of related transportation or planning experience
  • Certification by American Institute of Certified Planners desirable
  • Experience in client and partnership development with strong client relationships in Texas
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
