Google Training Lab Architect, Cloud Learning Services in Austin, Texas
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent practical experience.
4 years experience writing and maintaining code snippets (e.g., Java, Javascript, Ruby, Python, or Bash), SQL, Google Cloud, and Git.
2 years experience provisioning and maintaining infrastructure with Terraform (infrastructure as code).
Experience as a writer or learning professional (e.g., teacher, curriculum developer, instructional designer, technical writer, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
Certification in Professional Cloud Architect (Google Cloud), Terraform Associate or Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional (HashiCorp) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
3 years experience with Linux (Debian preferred).
3 years experience with Kubernetes.
Experience as a Technical solutions consultant.
In this role, you will work with product/engineering Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to write both front-end instructions and back-end code (including Markdown, Yet Another Markup Language (YAML), Ruby, Python) to test that learners have completed the required actions. You will work with a team of people to bring your learning to production, including portfolio managers, graphic designers, editors, Quality Assurance. You will explore innovative new approaches to direct learning and guide other teams in developing their own high-quality labs.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Design, build, maintain, and deprecate labs using tools like Git, Markdown, Yet Another Markup Language (YAML), and Google Cloud Skills Boost (GCSB) platform technologies.
Develop creative solutions to challenges, ensuring labs remain effective and engaging learning tools.
Partner with vendors, Google teams, and Cloud product SMEs to ensure labs adhere to best practices, style guides, and learning objectives.
Use performance data and user feedback to refine processes, tools, and measure lab success based on learner and organizational goals.
Identify and manage projects focused on process optimization and enhancing the learner experience.
