Program Coordination:Assists the Managing Director and Senior Outreach Program Coordinator with the program operations for the Kay Bailey Hutchinson (KBH) Energy Center. Programs include the Student Advisory Council Luncheons, Women in Energy, UT Energy Week/Spring Summit, student treks, case competitions, student hackathons, industry nights, mentoring programs, tailgates and student networking events.Responsible for student engagement at events and programs, including encouraging student attendance through class participation.Manages and expands existing relationships and builds institutional partnerships with schools and other organizations regarding the development and promotion of education programs.Responsible for sharing events and programs with other colleges and encouraging student attendance.Manage, track, and recruit student groups to participate in events and programs.Develop promotional strategies and work with the event and marketing coordinators to develop materials and social media content that caters to students.Complete monthly tracking and reporting, including but not limited to material development, departmental partnership information, and student participation at events.Manage the Energy Management Program (EMP) student group with the Academic Director and Assistant Director.Event Assistance:Works with the Senior Outreach Program Coordinator and Communication Specialist to assist in student events. The event coordinators will lead the circumstances, but the student program coordinator will be in attendance to assist students with questionsOn occasion, I will be asked to schedule rooms and arrange other details for student meetings and receptions.Will provide help in the planning and management of conferences, panel discussions, case competitions, etc.Energy Management Minor:Works with the Assistant Director of EMP to meet with advisors across campus to provide information regarding the energy management program to encourage them to speak with students about the program.Supports the growth of the Energy Management (EM) Minor through administration involved with expanding classes and programs and helping to increase applicants to increase the quality and variety of applicants and meet enrollment goals.Connect students in the Energy Management Minor with opportunities.Assists the Assistant Director of EMP with the collection and initial processing and screening of applications; provides information to faculty about students enrolled or applying to the minor; works with faculty to assist in processing and selecting applicants.Includes information regarding degree plans, minor requirements, degree enhancement, experiential learning opportunities, petitions and override course selection/substitution, and registration.Facilitate and execute summer programming such as speaker series and treks.Mentoring Program:Work with our Managing Director and Senior Outreach Program Coordinator to pair each mentor with a mentee and provide mentors with guidance concerning what to teach mentees. Create a mentor survey for alumni and students to respond to. Provide mentors with a list of goals that the mentor and mentee should accomplish throughout the program. Monitor and evaluate mentor/mentee relationships.Administrative Support:Compile, update, and maintain email lists and contacts in UT databases. Process contact reports for events/meetings/visits, etc.Travel prepare and process internal travel forms (RTAs and OOEF) for Academic Directors and Assistant Director.Will assist with student event invoices and payment processing when needed.Help select, train, and manage student workers to assist with programming, events, and logistics.
