Staff Technical Program Manager (Multiple Positions), Tesla, Inc., Austin, TX :

Responsible for the improvement of Service processes to reduce disservices and failures for Teslas residential products such as Powerwall, Wall Connector, and Solar Roof. Provide technical subject matter expertise to all Channel Partners to service, transact warranty claims and establish high customer confidence in the products. Monitor and track key initiatives and decisions to achieve seamless Service experience for Channel Partner customers. Create and maintain detailed project timelines and plans that account for workflow interdependencies. Coordinate with necessary teams and hold them accountable for deliverables through any necessary means of collaboration and communication. Maintain alignment across all teams on service and contractual scope and plans including Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Service, Charging, Finance, Policy, and others to ensure successful attainment of program milestones. Interpret contractual terms, identify gaps, and improve contractual compliance. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and senior management on progress and risks. Manage a team of Asset Managers and Service Coordinators to ensure success of above identified activities in relation with the Certified Partner program.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign educational equivalent) and 8 years of experience in technical sales, post-sales support and/or account management. Alternatively, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign educational equivalent) and 6 years of experience in technical sales, post-sales support and/or account management.

Experience must include:

  • Supporting commercial/enterprise customers and the Service levels agreed;
  • Managing subcontractors, vendors, and warranty/service related contracts;
  • Creating technical/process requirements from functional requirements for Software and Business Process Development;
  • Reviewing technical troubleshooting information and documentation for electrical/electronic equipment and identifying improvements and pertinent warranty/service compliance information;
  • Using OneNote, Confluence, and Jira to monitor lifecycle of product and important projects;
  • Presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
