Apple's WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and standard processes to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many cross-functional groups at world-wide and regional levels. We are looking for a creative and analytical Data Visualization-based UX Designer who can transform complex datasets into clear, engaging, and insightful user experiences. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to design intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive tools that empower users to make data-driven decisions. Your designs will focus on making information easy to understand, visually appealing, and actionable for a variety of audiences.
Description
- Data Visualization Design: Create intuitive and visually compelling charts, graphs, dashboards, and other visualizations to present complex data clearly and effectively. - UX Research and Analysis: Conduct user research to understand the target audience, their behaviors, and preferences regarding data consumption. - Wireframes and Prototypes: Design wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate the structure, flow, and interaction of data-heavy applications. - Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and developers, to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with project goals. - User Testing: Conduct usability testing for data visualization components, iterating on designs based on user feedback and data analytics. - Design Systems: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system focused on data visualization standards. - Accessibility: Ensure that all visualizations and user experiences are accessible to users with diverse needs, aligning with accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG). - Tools and Technologies: Apply tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Tableau, D3.js, and others to design and prototype data visualization-based experiences. - Performance Optimization: Work with engineering to ensure that designs are optimized for performance and responsiveness across devices.
Minimum Qualifications
Overall 10+ yrs of experience in Design, including 5+ years of leading a design team
5+ yrs experience with Data & Analytics teams to create data and insights centric designs for decision intelligence
Proven track record of creating intuitive dashboards, reports, and other data-focused products.
Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.
Strong problem-solving skills with a user-first mentality.
