Responsibilities
Support a NOC/Command Center on-site for 2ndor 3rdshift
Monitor Infrastructure Operation Services in a NOC environment
Support restoration services such as restarting servers, processes and or tools
Identify when an event qualifies as needing a disaster mitigation or a disaster recovery response
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies
Willingness to train on DR processes
Validate and test Infrastructure Operations (IO) Incident response
Assist in development and testing of plans, policies, and procedures for Disaster Mitigation (DM)/Disaster Recovery (DR)
Assist with the orchestration of actions during DM/DR event and report as required
Qualifications
Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by support tools and implement corrective actions quickly
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other
Requires System Admin skills/background
Experience in Linux and or Windows
NAS experience is a plus
Active Directory experience is a plus
SQL experience is a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience
Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)
Clearance:
The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation
Location:
Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
Thursday - Monday (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM CST Time)
