Amazon Senior Program Manager, SSD FC Launch in Austin, Texas
Description
Amazon is looking for a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic and tactical, cross-functional operations and technology projects associated with the launch and retrofits of Sub Same Day (SSD) FC buildings. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, mitigating schedule risks, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
Travel expected between 50% and 70%
Key job responsibilities
Supporting the development of launch strategy
Developing launch teams program to ensure successful site launches
Partnering with other teams to source, allocate and coordinate launch resources
Work with stakeholders to align responsibilities and mitigate risks to project execution
Managing and delivering results on complex projects across multiple organizations
Gathering and analyzing data on launch performance results
Creating, communicating and managing budget for launch support
Innovating to improve processes and continuously removing cost from our launches and operations
About the team
The SSD FC Launch team supports the Rapid and Rural Logistics organization in the planning and build-out of new SSD FC fulfillment centers across the United States. The team coordinates project plans and tracks execution across stakeholders from business, technology, design, and construction teams.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
