Amazon Senior Program Manager, AMZL Central Flow in Austin, Texas
Description
The AMZL Central Flow (CF) team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join Central Flow driving program development with a focus on intraweek labor and capacity management in addition to day-of execution for North America by automating and centralizing critical decision points across the UTR (Under the Roof) operation in order to positively impact Safety, Quality, and Cost. Last Mile markets across the globe are seeking parity in tools, process, and execution. This role will be instrumental in delivering WW and NA Last Mile parity.
*This role requires travel 5-10% of the quarter.
Key job responsibilities
Work closely with partners in a cross-functional environment, provide training, analysis, and feedback to stakeholders to drive process improvements.
Support the business strategy, in close collaboration with leadership and WW Ops stakeholders to achieve shared safety and capacity goals
Enhance processes, optimize workflows, and improve efficiency in order to increase program performance.
Proactively measure and analyze data, identify risks/issues, and overcome hurdles to drive results.
Translate metrics and trends into program improvement opportunities.
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence
About the team
Central Operations (CO) is the nerve center for AMZL last mile operations with AMZL Central Flow supporting Under-the-Roof (UTR) initiatives including Capacity Management, DEA Recovery and Shift planning standard work. Program managers in AMZL CF utilize their centralized perspective to identify opportunities, facilitating conversations amongst stakeholders and driving resolution.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field
Experience owning end-to-end long-term strategic planning or capacity planning
5+ years of defining and implementing
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
5+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques
