We’re looking for a highly ambitious , energetic, and experienced Senior Product Designer who will help us shape the future of grocery shopping – innovating at the intersection of physical and digital experiences. As part of the Whole Foods Market product team, we partner closely with Amazon Fresh to harness the power of the Amazon platform, enhancing the overall Whole Foods Market experience and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Austin Store Support office five days a week.

Your Role

As a Senior UX Designer , your mission is to craft intuitive, innovative, and impactful digital experiences that elevate the Whole Foods Market products . You will lead user-centered design efforts, balancing customer needs with business goals, while working closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to bring ideas to life.

  • Advocate for the User: Serve as the voice of the user , championing user needs throughout the design and development process.

  • Support Team Success: Provide guidance to team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Find Win-Win Solutions: Balance the ‘ideal’ product against technical constraints, business objectives , and operational processes to effectively solve user problems.

    Leverage Data and Research

  • Drive Design Decisions: Use data, user feedback, and analytics to validate designs and inform decisions.

  • Participate in Research: Conduct usability tests, shadow/observation field work to gather insights, and iterate on designs to improve user experiences.

  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design.

    Deliver Results

  • Balance Priorities: Solve user problems while navigating technical constraints, business goals, and operational processes.

  • Own Your Work: Take accountability for your designs, ensuring they align with the overall vision and deliver measurable impact.

  • Support Implementation: Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of designs.

    Qualifications

  • Experience : 4-6+ years of professional UX design experience, including designing for enterprise, supply chain or complex and scalable tools. E-Commerce industry experience is a bonus .

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Design , Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Portfolio : Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful design solutions that solve real customer problems.

  • Skills : Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and other UX deliverables. Familiarity with design systems and responsive design principles.
