Business Prime is a paid subscription service for verified business, charity or government organizations that provides the familiar Prime shopping experience end users love at home, with pricing plans and benefits that are suited for work. Business Prime now serves over a million employees in organizations throughout the world. Our customers range from government entities with tens of thousands of users to sole proprietors.

The Amazon Business Prime team is hiring a Senior Partnerships Manager to own the identification, development and adoption of both external and internal partnerships. These partnerships will help accelerate Business Prime customer acquisition and be a source of additional membership benefits. This is crucial role in a high-growth area that offers candidates with a mix of vision, customer obsession, and execution skills the chance to shape the future of a strategic program for Amazon. The role is global in scope, spanning 9 marketplaces and growing.

Key job responsibilities

  • Customer Insights and Business Case: Scope and commission customer research, use voice of the customer mechanisms to glean customer needs that can be uniquely met by Amazon Business.

  • Work backwards from the customer to create compelling proposals focusing for new Business Prime benefits or acquisition mechanism and present these ideas with business cases to senior leadership using excellent written documents.

  • Partner Engagement: Engage, build relationships and negotiate deals with internal (Amazon) and external partners to acquire Business Prime customers and create new benefits for our customers.

  • End-to-end Product Ownership: Define product features, create clear engineering ready documents, in partnership with User Experience Design, to build new end to end benefit experiences and acquisition mechanisms.

  • P&L/Goals Ownership: Own goals for partner led Business Prime acquisition and the customer and P&L impact associated with the creation and adoption of new benefits.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.

  • 5+ years experience in strategic business development, partnership management, investment banking, or venture investing.

  • End-to-end deal experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships such as largescale marketing deals, technical collaborations, and strategic technology relationships.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the respect of and influence senior management and external executives.

  • Experience leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals.

  • History of proven success at high level negotiations.

  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze income, balance sheet and cash flow statements. Can construct an operating P&L, model deals, and articulate cost/benefit analyses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across a wide range of industries, e.g. in technology, consulting, private equity or an M&A advisory role.

  • Experience with global and emerging markets.

  • Uses sound business judgment and quantitative skills to produce innovative, intentional, and creative work. Can think both strategically and at the ground level.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate complex issues.
