UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Senior Manager for Technology and Innovation in Austin, Texas

Leads OnRamps course staff to successfully support OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars. Provides guidance and coaching, allocates and oversees work, manages work schedules, and promotes and supports employee development using proven methods. Works with course staff to develop and implement interventions as needed. Designs and uses data-driven approaches to ensure ongoing staff growth and program improvements.Leads ongoing implementation and facilitation of the OnRamps Professional Learning year-long cycle across multiple courses with the goal of providing instructors data driven sessions designed to increase student success. Identifies areas for continuous improvement and leads course staff in the implementation of coaching and instructor support strategies that meet needs across courses.Leads OnRamps Technology courses in staying current and meeting the needs of all stakeholders related to OnRamps technology courses. Represents OnRamps to ensure growth of current and future courses in conjunction with Partnership team.Leads Instructional Innovation team in modeling innovative dual enrollment implementations, strategies, tools to meet needs of an evolving market within distance learning.Applies standard evaluation procedures to analyze data and monitor, evaluates and documents course, student, and Instructor outcomes through recurring issue tracking and reporting. Utilizes data to apply principles of continuous improvement to course improvement, instructor experience, student learning, and special projects.Ensures the development of a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors through leadership of course staff and implementation coordinators to provide intervention, system-level support, or just-in-time support via online, telephone, and in-person communication and lead virtual conferences. Develops innovative strategies to promote online and in-person community of learning and knowledge exchange.Utilizes adult learning and cognitive learning science theories to contribute to and assist with the course development, redevelopment, or enhancement opportunities of courses to increase success of Instructor implementation and overall student success. Supports the process through coordination of resources and directs content development and review.Required qualifications Master's degree in Fine Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field and five years teaching experience at a high school or college level.Experience leading teams or projects.Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.Demonstrated understanding of HS teaching in career and technology courses.Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred qualificationsDoctoral degree in Fine Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field and two years teaching experience.Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery.Experience developing and delivering professional-development initiatives for high school teachers.Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers.Attention to detail and ability to move multiple projects forward.Salary $90,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking conditionsMay work around standard office conditions.Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.Shared desk environmentHybrid work environmentClimbing of stairsUse of manual dexterityRequired MaterialsPlease mark "yes" on the application question that asks if additional materials are required.
