Detail test programs with due consideration to facility, equipment, manpower and budgetary limitations. Develop test specifications and procedures, design test fixtures and procure necessary materials and equipment. Develop instrumentation schemes and design custom fixtures.Coordinate the fabrication of test and instrumentation fixtures. Coordinate fabrication of specimens and mechanical testing of material samples. Execute and/or direct resting of specimens, document observations and measurements.Analyze observation and measurements to identify significant correlations and draw conclusions. Prepare presentations and other technical documentation to summarize significant research findings. Draft formal report for submission to project sponsor.Research and develop problem statements for consideration of government-sponsored research programs. Review RFP technical requirements, conduct preliminary literature review and conceptualize project work plan. Draft, or participate in the development of, preliminary proposals such as budget, schedule, etc.
