Handle procurement duties for the Department of Molecular Biosciences' faculty, process and create purchase orders using PBO, PB3 and PB4 documents. Process UT Market orders through FRMS and assist lab personnel with procedures. Gather and supply financial and factual information from a variety of sources. Backup for MBS purchasing partner.Settle purchasing and receiving problems. Generate correspondence regarding problems and procedures. Performs work and assures all processes are documented according to federal and state policies and procedures. Serves as liaison between the department, University Purchasing Office, Accounts Payable, Document Solutions, and vendors to fulfill procurement needs.Assist MBS Accounts Payable and Grants and Contracts personnel with various accounting issues, such as disencumbering old purchase orders, and providing supporting documents needed for audits.Assist with departmental annual inventory certification.Provide backup support for operational team as assigned.
