Summary of Role:

Looking for a senior accountant who is capable of taking on routine tasks, new challenges, can survive and thrive in a vibrant, dynamic environment and is proficient at multi-tasking. This role has preparer responsibilities (preparing consolidated financial statements, navigating complex accounting transactions, finding solutions to new accounting scenarios) as well as supervisory responsibilities (reviewing the work of the bookkeeping team and junior accountants). This role has the potential for growth and promotion based on performance. This candidate is ideally a CPA with Big 4 and financial statement preparation experience, that can thrive in a dynamic environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time accounting, reporting and analysis, including maintaining and improving accounting and reporting systems, managing relationships and overseeing bookkeeping performed by Global Business & Financial Services (“GBFS”) team in the Philippines.

  • Perform month-end close, accounting processes and procedures related to all aspects of the business and in line with external reporting guidelines.

  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

  • Record journal entries for complex revenue transactions.

  • Support audits, including the entity’s integrated audit and project-level, audits when required.

  • Provide audit support and work with auditors through issuance of all annual financial statements.

  • Assist with accounting setup and procedures for new business initiatives.

  • Responsible for special projects such as user access testing for new systems, efficiency-building projects, etc.

  • Prepare and review financial statements on a quarterly basis.

  • Provide analysis of financial results on a monthly basis.

  • Prepare flux analysis for period-over-period results.

  • Work closely with the business teams in understanding new deals as they are proposed.

  • Review contracts and complete accounting summary for each contract.

  • Research accounting literature for compliance with revenue recognition accounting standards.

  • Assist with the company’s monthly and quarterly financial close.

  • Present findings to managers and controllers on a real-time basis.

  • Meet with business partners and discuss revenue recognition requirements and associated guidance.

  • Provide accounting support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field plus minimum of 3 years accounting experience with at least 2 years of public accounting experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant or actively working towards certification.

  • Candidate must possess a sound working knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Proficiency with Excel and Word.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Team player with the ability to work well on large & small cross-functional teams.

  • Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Please note the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and in the geographical location noted. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,000/year to $115,600/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package including annual bonus eligibility, short and long-term incentives, and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program which includes health insurance coverage, employee wellness, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, paid time off, and so much more.
