Andalusia Design - Production Operator

Andalusia Design is a startup architectural products manufacturer looking to disrupt the commercial specialty ceilings and wall market by making custom, high-design wood and metal systems more accessible to the architectural and design communities. Andalusia delivers this vision by combining novel front-end design tools with on-site digital fabrication capabilities. We are looking for an energetic Production Operator to join our manufacturing team and assist in actualizing our digital fabrication capabilities. This role will focus on material handling and assembly in both metal and wood. Daily activities will be very dynamic with a high mix of products to be manufactured. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to produce a finished product that meets the expectations of a discerning design eye.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Dynamic and timely tending of CNC metal and woodworking equipment. Manage the flow of materials and monitor and inspect parts in real time. Final assembly of high-design wood and metal products. Apply standard processes to unique configurations and demonstrate care and craft throughout. Kit and pack products to ensure a seamless customer installation experience. Act as a steward of product quality and facility safety. Elevate concerns and feel empowered to stop production when expectations are not met. Maintain clean operating space includes completion of standard daily maintenance of production space. Assist in developing and refining work instructions to ensure accuracy on customer production runs and new product and feature additions. Ensure all consumed material is counted and necessary replenishment requests are issued. Partner with engineering to continuously improve workstations, mobile platforms, and fixturing needed to efficiently and safely process and move material and products through our facility.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with basic computer programs. Microsoft Office suite or equivalent. Ability to demonstrate a high learning agility for new skillsets. Passion for working in, and adherence to safe working practices with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment. Willingness to engage to ensure the safety practices of others. Good understanding of, or interest in, architectural materials, preferably wood and metal Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contribute as needed to help the team.
