Amazon Principal Go-to-Market Product Manager, GDO Product and GTM Team in Austin, Texas

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a results-driven and strategic Go-to-Market (GTM) and Product leader to join the fast-growing Digital Marketing Global Demand Operations (GDO) team to help effectively launch a confidential platform and set of natively built (NAWS) services. As a Principal GDO Product and GTM Program Manager, you will own large-scale, highly visible initiatives that span global sales and marketing teams. This role will allow you to help AWS establish best practices and raise the bar in: product marketing, ML/AI application, go-to-market strategy, change management, and ongoing process optimization -all to directly impact sales productivity and revenue.

In this highly visible Principal Program Manager role, you will create the global scale plan to deploy GDO technology to AWS Marketing and Sales Teams. You will own creating and implementing the plans around large scale product adoption, critical business process changes, quality control, and change management planning for the program. This role owns high level goals (S-team, CMO-level) and works across >20 globally diverse senior leaders for delivery. Key skills: ability to influence/have backbone at Director and VP levels using data and anecdotes, strong business judgement, product marketing expertise, exceptional writing skills, proficiency in process improvements, strong aptitude in deep dive and data analysis, ability to influence without authority and a large capacity for recognizing use cases for the various technical solutions your team is building. This a unique role that allows you to work with diverse set of global, functional (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal) stakeholders and experience the benefits of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, all while leveraging the resources of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key job responsibilities

• Deep dive data, product functionality and customer use cases to inform business strategy decisions at the L8+ level

• Effectively earn trust and build strong working relationships across global organizations

• Drive alignment, resolve roadblocks and navigate dependencies in order to deliver progress.

• Lead cross-team initiatives, work closely with product, engineering and data science teams.

• Scope, plan and execute large scale change management plans to facilitate business strategy changes required to drive GDO product adoption

• Identify new strategic business decisions needed in order to drive effective adoption of GDO products and services, write documentation and/or lead meetings to facilitate this decision making.

• Join (or lead) meetings, events and offsites across a variety of business entities to effectively identify and educate others about the use cases GDO products optimize for.

• Assist in driving end-to-end communications strategies across multiple channel levers to successfully 1/enable AWS users to adopt key product features and 2/enable AWS leaders to recognize the value GDO products are delivering

• Present status, progress, risks and team’s strategy effectively with organizational leadership and business stakeholders.

• Translate complex and ambiguous business problems into crisp business requirements

The GDO Product and GTM Team is the product development team within AWS’ Global Demand and Operations (GDO) organization. Our north star is to deliver the highest quality AWS customer opportunities to the right AWS channel (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Partner), with the right data, in real time. We are building NAWS technology that ensures AWS customers who are ready to engage move seamlessly through their buying journey and experience high value interactions with AWS. Our technology accelerates AWS revenue with Machine Learning (ML) and GenAI-assisted technology.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience defining and executing large scale product adoption strategies and change management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

  • Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, SQL, SFDC, DynmoDB or other data management systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
