GENERAL DESCRIPTIONNote: This is a hybrid-work position which requires the ability to spend up to 40% of the time in the Austin office and work flexible hours to support application deployments as needed. The OAG Child Support Division IT Applications Development Team is seeking a talented, senior-level Salesforce programmer to join our experienced and talented team. They will perform work in the design, development, and implementation of custom Salesforce applications and solutions; collaborate with both the business and user and development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications; develop and configure workflows, forms, and reports in the Salesforce platform; and conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.This role will be responsible for customizing, developing, and using the Salesforce application for highly complex programming projects. They will customize Salesforce applications to meet specific business needs and requirements; work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify areas of improvement; implement enhancements to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement; and continuously explore new features and functionalities offered on the Salesforce platform.This role will provide incident resolution and troubleshooting support for Salesforce applications; identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve system incidents; and document resolutions and maintain an organized knowledge base.This role will manage multiple programming projects. May lead, mentor, and train others.Performs related work as assignedMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functionsAttends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule. Telework schedules are permitted for employees based on the agencys approved Telework Plan (if schedule does not adversely affect operations and service levels, and standard hours of operation are maintained).Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected informationComplies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSProgrammer IVEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalentEducation: Bachelor's d gree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systemsExperience: Three years of experience working (or coding) in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systemsExperience and knowledge building and maintaining custom Salesforce.com platform applications, including the ability to apply that knowledge to the current state of the business and technology and implement the plan to achieve the desired future stateExperience or working knowledge of modern cloud ecosystems, such as AWS.Experience or working knowledge of integrating Salesforce and other systems with Mulesoft as middleware and modern cloud ecosystemsExperience working on a project using an agile framework to develop softwareKnowledge of Agile methodologies and processKnowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems analysis; of computer operations procedures and systems; and of computer programming languages.Skill in problem solving, in critical thinking, in programming, in the use of hardware and software, and in modifying or developing software for applications.Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlinesSkill in effective communicationSkill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision makingAbility to process information logically; design programs and systems logic; prepare program specifications; code, test, and debug software; interpret technical information related to programming and other areas of data processing; communicate effectively; and supervise the work of others.Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedbackAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional environmentAbility to work in person at an OAG work location, if needed, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) as required.
