Performs advanced and highly complex project management work. Leads complex and/or sensitive projects impacting organization,process, and technology. Work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of projects at various levels of completion;monitoring the progress and schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other relevantparties. Plans, assigns, and/or leads the work of project team members. Serves in a lead role for other project managers inthe unit. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Essential Duties:Directs, develops, implements, and evaluates plans to communicate and explain project status, direction, outcomes, anddeliverables to stakeholders, interested groups, and team members.Directs, develops, implements, and evaluates project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and costestimates and projections.Analyzes performance and objectives to identify improvement projects to include people, process, and technology.Compiles and distributes project information, status reports, and project budget expenditures.Coordinates project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners andcontractors and assure coordination and approvals through FTA.Identifies potential project impediments, risks, and issues; and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.May serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.May train other employeesPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
