Contract Management; Responsible for the management of the procurement and contracting docket, including the prioritization of key Athletics initiatives. This position will serve as the primary point of contact with the Athletics specific business contracting team, including two Associate Counsels and one Procurement Officer. This role includes the review and approval of contract requests, the drafting of standard services agreements, the review and approval of contracting documents and related business processes. This position is responsible for goods and services agreements, and game agreements, in addition to supporting, building use agreements, suite agreements, employment agreements, and hotel agreements, as needed by the Assistant AD.Procurement of Goods and Services; Responsible for exercising sound, independent judgment and thought in the application of accounting and related assignments involving the recording, examination, analysis, and reporting of financial data in a large business area. Execute procurement processes for Athletics, to include routine purchase orders, formal and informal bidding processes, RFPs and Exclusive Acquisition Justifications. Work directly with the Universitys Procurement Office to ensure the timely and accurate review and approval of Athletic Department requests. This position is required to serve as a subject matter expert of HBP 7-Purchasing and HBP 12-Indpendent Contractors.Training and Programming; Work with the Business and Travel team to develop and present the monthly business office training course, including the evolving agenda to address recent violations of the procure-to-pay lifecycle. The course should serve as a key resource for new staff, staff transitioning roles, and those who need regular training to meet the requirements of the HBP and Athletics policies and procedures.Awards; Responsible for facilitating the approval and tracking of Student-Athlete awards in compliance with NCAA, UT Austin and related governance.Vendor Management; Responsible for the business processes associated with setting up new vendors, maintaining vendor profiles, direct deposits and related information in Campus and Athletics systems of record.Best Practices and Business Process Improvement; Research best practices and alternative solutions for current business office applications and procedures. Work with the financial leadership to propose, alter, design, and implement appropriate solutions to resolve inefficiencies and strengthen internal controls, with a focus on the procure-to-pay lifecycle.Gameday Support; Support the Athletic Department at home events/contests in support of our strategic plans and goals.Title XI; Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
