Lead Product Manager - Remote R0040726

Responsible for overall execution of growth plans for a significant product or product family. Works with Agile software development teams, aligning development activity with product’s strategy and in support of the organization’s goals and market need. Contributes to product’s strategic vision and focus. Understands market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, translating these insights into product features and product 6-month roadmap. Takes an active role in planning and design stages to ensure product is differentiated from competitors in the marketplace. Translates market and customer needs into product requirements. Creates and manages the product backlog. Coordinates product release plans and go-to-market activities like release notes and training for sales and service teams. Supports strategic marketing programs for new products and product enhancements. Assists efforts to ensure market penetration, proper product positioning and profitability. Participates in the entire lifecycle of the product, working closely with development teams from product initiation to delivery to eventual product retirement.

This is a remote role and will report to the Director, Product Management - FCC CT and under the leadership of the Vice President, Product Management - FCC CT. #LI-Remote

Required Job Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of related product owner and/or development experience; preferably within a multi-division organization with various development, sales, service, and marketing teams.

  • Experience developing detailed customer needs analysis and user stories

  • Experience with tools and processes that support software development and usage tracking such as Azure Dev Ops, Confluence and/or Google Analytics.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish product and revenue objectives.

  • Pragmatic Marketing certification

Other Qualifications (preferences):

  • Experience : work with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience supporting an Agile development process is helpful

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Education : bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Pragmatic Marketing certification level 2

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with development teams, employing Scrum Agile product development methodology.

  • Create, prioritize, and manage backlog of user stories and requirements.

  • Marshal approved product development projects from definition through the development, testing and launch phases.

  • Create prototypes and functional specifications and requirements for the product.

  • Collaborate in the generation of viable new product concepts and ideas which support the business strategy and market position goals of the assigned legal practice groups.

  • Support the development of business cases for each approved new product concept by describing the detailed user stories and needed features that will deliver a product or service solution

  • Help ensure successful product launch by documenting new product features and enhancements, supporting the development of marketing content, and conducting internal training sessions.

  • Conduct ongoing, in-depth research and analysis on each assigned product to gain an understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, and competitive advantages of each product

  • Drive world class user experience by creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features with strong bias for action

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the assigned product or service to facilitate product enhancements, internal training, and level 3 support

  • Contribute to the overall product strategy for business unit by staying informed of market trends and customer workflows to create the relevant product enhancements.
