Waste Connections Heavy Equipment Operator in Austin, Texas
Waste Connections is currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join the team at Travis County Landfill , TX . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus , but willing to train the right candidate.
The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working usually 50-55 hours a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor
Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
Excavating soil using an Excavator
Hauling soil
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· 1-2 years of equipment operating experience
· Ability to be self directed as well as work in a team environment
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
