Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Oversee engineering projects focused on the manufacturing of existing and new Apple products. Create and maintain Bill of Materials, manufacturer lists, and part numbers for multiple programs. Oversee the product assembly process across cross-functional teams, including factory operations. Create, manage, and expedite Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO). Create purchase requisitions, and follow through until purchase orders are issued. Work closely with the Engineering Project Management team to maintain invoice tracking and acknowledge the receipt of goods and services as well as invoice approval. Manage budget requests and allocations, including tracking budget balances and processing invoices. Manage part list and communicate closely with CM partners to ensure parts arrive on time. Work with upstream and downstream vendors to troubleshoot any issue that may arise to prevent material delays. Review build readiness reports to ensure our build schedule is on track. If any materials show potential delays, follow up with GSM (Global Supply Management) and suppliers to understand the underlying issues and take action to prevent delays or develop a mitigation plan. Work with cross-functional teams to collect development hardware allocation requests. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect the required quantity of devices for testing, and oversee internal distribution while addressing and mitigating any issues in case of shortages. Ensure hardware is properly allocated to cross-functional teams for validations. Work with Logistics and New Product Security to maintain Apple Security processes. Ensure incoming shipments comply with Apple's warehouse requirements for smooth receiving and storage. Engage with stakeholders to enforce product security protocols throughout the development process, from the factory to end-users, to maintain confidentiality during development cycles. Work with engineering and finance teams to support financial budgeting and tracking processes. Manage budget requests and allocations, including tracking the budget balance and processing invoices. Travel internationally to support engineering development builds. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, International Economics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Utilize Bill of Material (BOM) and lead collaboration with global and regional manufacturing stakeholders
Managing global vendors, including onboarding, verification, and factory communications
Managing supply chain operations for material planning, shipment, logistics, and customs issues
Managing warehouse storage operations
Resolving material shortages with global suppliers
Planning and management of product manufacturing budget including balance tracking and invoice payments
