Iteris is seeking a District Sales Managerwho will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts for traffic detection and sensor solutions across the West Texas region. This role is a significant opportunity for a sales professional passionate about driving growth in the ITS transportation technology space. What you will be doing:

  • Prospect and establish strategic relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on “hunting” for new business opportunities

  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to customers articulating the unique features and benefits of our offerings

  • Address inquiries regarding product features, usage, and performance, managing sales negotiations as needed

  • Identify and qualify prospects, schedule appointments, conduct effective sales calls, and manage the sales cycle through to closing in Salesforce

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts and to drive revenue

  • Work closely with solutions engineering and software teams to drive adoption of the Iteris platform and suite of solutions, ensuring that clients experience the full benefits of our integrated offerings

  • Support the alignment of sales efforts with technical requirements to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction

  • Identify and support RFP opportunities, leveraging knowledge of procurement processes to develop competitive proposals in collaboration with solutions engineering and bid response team

  • Conduct independent sales calls to end-user accounts, driving business growth within the designated region.

  • Actively engage in industry events, regional meetings, trade shows, and use of social media to increase market visibility

  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to document sales activities, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure territory coverage

  • Participate in company sales meetings and training sessions, continuously enhancing product knowledge and market awareness

  • Contribute to campaigns and new product initiatives, learning about updates and changes in industry requirements

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 60% travel across the assigned region, as necessary, to engage with clients and partners

    What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business Administration, Sales, Traffic Management, or related field) or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years in Sales or business development, ideally within a technology-driven industry, with a background in traffic management solutions, design and engineering, connected operations, or connected infrastructure

  • Familiarity with direct and indirect sales processes

  • Proficient with Salesforce CRM (preferred) and MS Office Suite

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strategic relationships

  • Comfort and capability with using CRM and other technology tools to streamline and document sales activities

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities

    Iteris anticipates paying between $95,000 and $105,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
