UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Director, Creative Video in Austin, Texas
Provide direct supervision of the Texas Athletics Creative Development creative video full-time and student staff to ensure high-level video content is produced for social media, in-venue, web/app and over-the-top (OTT) initiatives, such as the LHN (Longhorn Network) platform. Introduce new techniques and strategies to ensure Texas is a leader in the video space.Serve as a liaison to the Texas Studios live video production unit to ensure creative video needs are fulfilled for in-venue videoboards and linear and digital broadcasts.Serve as a content creator for multiple sports. Collaborate with the Director, Motion Graphics and Design to ensure videoboard, fascia and projector content is delivered in a timely and high-quality manner.Collaborate with Creative Development, Marketing and Communications leadership to determine the sport and event coverage schedule on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.Collaborate with Creative Development and Learfield Always On staff to ensure growth of the LHN platform.Manage the purchase, maintenance, scheduling and inventory of all camera and production equipment for the Creative Development department.Ensure proper organization of the video server and archives. Oversee the digitization process of analog content.Serve as the Creative Development departments liaison to external partners for all creative video needs. Ensure requests are managed and delivered in a timely manner (Ex. Footage, highlights, etc.).Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
