Oracle Demo Applications Consultant (CPQ Cloud) in Austin, Texas

Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

The Oracle Demo Services team is committed to bringing Oracle’s solutions and values to life for our customers and partners to increase sales and adoption. We do this through innovative implementations and captivating narratives which enable our sales teams to deliver best-in-class demonstrations for our complete suite of cloud applications.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Demo Applications Consultant to join our team and own our demo experience for Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote). In this role, you will collaborate with global sales, development, and product management teams to architect and implement business solutions on our CPQ platform. You will be expected to understand business strategies and translate those strategies to a project plan and roadmap. This is a hands-on position responsible for building the solution, reporting, and troubleshooting design bugs and cross-platform deployment to support various concurrent projects.

The ideal candidate will also understand the value of storytelling and be able to craft narratives that showcase the usability and power of Oracle’s cloud suite. They will leverage existing business process script templates to generate and present outbound collateral for consumption within Oracle and to Oracle’s partners. Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with configuration and/or pricing solutions

  • Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks is required.

Technical Expertise

  • Intermediate level knowledge of HTML, CSS, BML (BigMachines Extensible Language), JSON, JQuery, XML, Node.js, JavaScript and JavaScript Framework

  • Intermediate level knowledge of REST APIs and Webservices

  • Intermediate level knowledge of responsive web design concepts

  • Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Atlassian (Jira), Slack, etc.

  • Experience in Oracle, SaaS environment

  • Graphics and/or UX experience is a plus

Education, Experience, and Professional Certifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems (or related field)

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of Oracle CPQ Cloud experience (or similar configure, price, quote)

  • CPQ Implementation Certification Strongly Preferred
