Insight Global Customer Marketing & Events Manager in Austin, Texas

Job Description

A client in the Austin area is looking to add a Customer Marketing Specialist to the team to build relationships at key customer accounts and oversee events, tradeshows, campaigns, and communications with our client base. You'll play a pivotal role in building a strong customer community that creates raving fans for the company's award-winning solutions. You will design, set up, and maintain customer marketing programs that nurture buyers, administrators, and users of our products, while coordinating outreach activities with our customer success, account management, and professional services teams. You will have the opportunity to develop deep relationships with leaders at public agencies, running some of the largest capital programs in North America. This role requires someone who is outgoing, genuine, and enjoys making our customers successful, as you will be traveling to customer sites, trade shows, and other clients events about 50% of the time.

This role is a hybrid role as you will be responsible for Demand Generation, Event Marketing, Relationship Building, Case Studies, and Customer Testimonials.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Executing the company's annual User Conference from end-to-

end, as well as attending other customer events or trade shows.

This may include choosing a venue, hire photographers

and videographers, managing room blocks and booking

key stakeholders, scheduling keynote speakers, managing

customer testimonials and content to present, etc.

  • Developing and managing customer engagement programs

focused on onboarding, retention, and product adoption, to

drive mutual success.

  • Using creative thinking to develop and run targeted

campaigns that increase growth and adoption within our

defined user personas.

  • Driving higher customer advocacy in the marketplace,

including increasing rankings on product review sites.

  • Building a deep understanding of our business and our

customers, reporting on program success, and identifying new

engagement strategies to increase adoption and retention.

  • Managing the company's reference program and coordinate

necessary references with our field sales team.

  • Creating and proof-reading the company's external

communications such as Customer Newsletters, Case Studies,

Customer Testimonials (video and written material), emails,

digital marketing campaigns, etc.

  • Traveling to customer sites to meet with customers, build

relationships with key stakeholders, & gather content for

written and digital communications.

  • Gathering content at a customer site or event may include

photo, video, or audio testimonials from customers,

conducting questionnaires or surveys, conducting video interviews, etc.

  • Managing customer events: anything from steaming banners,

opening and unpacking boxes, setting up and tearing down

booths, manning the booth and chatting with customers,

configuring TV or A/V at a booth, following up with recap emails from the event, etc.

  • Leading key strategy sessions and meetings with the internal

Leadership & Executive Leadership Teams.

Skills and Requirements

-3-5 years of experience

-Experience executing a User Conference (and other events) from end-to-end

-Experience with demand generation

-Experience writing and proof-reading customer case studies & testimonials

-Great personality -- very confident, team player, comfortable leading a meeting with C-Level Executives, sales-y

-Bachelor Degree -Background as a server or in sales

-Background in government agency work

-Background in government technology null
