How will you make an impact?

From sample to knowledge to results, the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CMD) business develops and manufactures leading-edge chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, consumables, and software solutions for customers working in analytical sciences and scientific research. Our complete workflow solutions enable productivity and efficiency for customers in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage testing and manufacturing, environmental and industrial testing, biopharma QA/QC, toxicology, and anti-doping.

What will you do?

As the divisional lead for Field Quality, your day to day work will drive programs to help us achieve Quality improvement goals ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction, efficiency gains, and product margins. As a data analytics domain expert, you will also provide support with deep dive analyses and investigations for business unit specific problems.

Keys to Success:

  • Through data analysis and reporting, support teams in meeting warranty and installation productivity annual goals. Work with technical teams to provide accurate assessments on challenges facing the organization and magnitude of potential savings of each identified project.

  • Host standard work forums for improving Field Quality metrics driving the business units to a higher standard of performance.

  • Prepare division level summaries of field quality performance, as needed; measures including Customer Allegiance, Warranty performance, Installation Excellence, and Escalation data.

  • Provide training and support on Field Quality Data analytics and reporting.

  • Project manage large cross-business unit initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university required, or equivalent experience with a 2-year degree

Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in data analytics, which may include Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or Manufacturing Engineering with responsibilities pertaining to product quality and/or process improvement.

  • Leading teams through problem-solving and establishing escalation forums.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency in EXCEL is a must; ability to learn Power BI or other analytics tools (ie MySQL, Tableau and Alteryx)

  • Clear communicator who maintains a high level of integrity with internal and external partners

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

  • Initiative and self-direction in planning, organizing, documenting, and problem solving required
