Faculty Development Program Development and Oversight: Plan, manage, facilitate, and evaluate large-scale, transformative programs and projects in the area of faculty development that advance the mission of the CTL. Create budgets and proposals for programs, oversee webpage content, and refine programs using data and feedback. Supervise the faculty development team, including hiring, mentoring, and supporting staff in prioritizing work responsibilities and professional development; overseeing and coordinating projects conducted by faculty development team, ensuring all projects have assessment plans and that assessment results are used for program revisions; and managing instructor requests and consulting assignments across the faculty development team.Strategic Leadership and Vision: Develop and implement a bold strategic vision for faculty development that aligns with the CTL and the mission and goals of a large, prestigious, and public research university. Collaborate with CTL leadership to shape the Centers communications, operations, and strategy. Act in a leadership role for CTL hiring processes and contribute to establishing a professional culture that elevates teaching and learning at UT and in higher education at large. Evaluate new opportunities and initiatives to ensure strategic alignment and impact. Champion innovative approaches and creative solutions to enhance faculty development.Pedagogical Expertise and Design: Monitor developments, research, and trends in higher education pedagogy. Innovate and experiment with new teaching methodologies and technologies. Contribute to the professional/academic field through research, publications, and conference presentations. Partner with instructors to advance pedagogical design. Act as an expert and facilitator of high-impact pedagogical strategies, developing projects, resources, workshops, learning communities, and symposia. Collect data to measure the impact of pedagogical initiatives and foster outreach opportunities beyond the university.Outreach and Community Building: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across the university and with external organizations. Represent CTL on university committees and actively recruit instructors and staff to participate in CTL programs. Forge strategic connections with peer centers and participate in the wider higher education teaching and learning community to elevate UT Austins reputation. Promote a culture of innovation and creativity within the teaching and learning community.Operational Management: Manage faculty development event scheduling and ensure alignment with the CTL strategic plan. Oversee and coordinate projects conducted by faculty development specialists. Liaise with campus and external partners to identify collaboration opportunities and maintain an updated inventory of partners and key stakeholders. Foster a high-energy, collaborative environment that encourages creative thinking and continuous growth. Coordinate with CTL operations staff to ensure excellence in program delivery and team communication.
