UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Assistant Director, Scouting in Austin, Texas

Advance the research, development and strategies in the areas of player identification, evaluation, scouting and roster building/management with focus on roster identification, organization, player evaluations, communicating details and providing recommendations of priority prospects to General Manager - Head Coach - Assistant Coaches 20%Creation and utilization of databases, video libraries, research, and team analysis to help in both recruiting and in-season competition 10%Coordinate maintaining accurate recruiting profiles on top targets - athletes data - measurables - background info 10%Evaluate players on the Texas Football roster, and other relevant rosters to analyze and identify strengths, weaknesses, and roster trends 10%Pre-season summary and weekly in-season creation of an Advance Scouting Report to create an introductory snapshot of an upcoming opponent 10%Assist with planning and overall execution of Pro Day 5%Coordinate with the Assistant DPP for Offense and Defense along with Director of Recruiting Logistics and Analytics to monitor NCAA transfer portal and advance scouting projects 5%Coordinate and execute Scout School programming to onboard and train interns + student assistants 5%Assist with all recruiting events (official/unofficial visits, junior days, camps, etc) 5%Any other duties assigned by the General Manager 25%Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Texas Education Code Sec. 51.252, this position may be a Non-Confidential Employee as defined by University policies on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Interpersonal Violence and Stalking.
