include, but are not limited to, assisting with the administration and coordination of medical school admissions processes.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with applicants/prospects/general public: Utilize phone, email, formal written communication, and social media to respond to basic inquiries, update candidates on applicant status changes, and interact with the public, staff, students, and external partners.Support the processing of applications through the workflow: Assist in the application process from submission to final decision, ensuring each application progresses smoothly through each stage. Accurately update applicant statuses in the system at each step of the workflow. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the application management software to track and manage applicant data efficiently. Ensure timely and accurate communication with applicants regarding their application status. Collaborate with admissions staff to resolve any issues or delays in the application process. Monitor application metrics and generate reports to provide insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of the workflow.Facilitate interview day processes: Schedule interview day appointments for selected candidates, prepare correspondence and packets, manage reservations, and coordinate facility space. Interface with medical staff, faculty, and community partners.Conduct external recruitment of prospective medical school students: Develop and implement strategies to attract high-quality candidates. Participate in college fairs, university events, and professional conferences to represent the medical school. Establish and maintain relationships with pre-med advisors, educational institutions, and community organizations. Organize and conduct informational sessions, webinars, and campus tours to engage and inform prospective students.Handle travel requests and reimbursements: Submit travel requests and reimbursements for staff participating in departmental sanctioned travel.Participate in meetings and foster relationships: Attend office and departmental staff meetings and maintain good working professional relationships with campus community and office staff.Support department efforts: Assist the overall efforts of the Department and support other staff members as needed.Perform other duties as assigned: Execute additional tasks as directed by departmental leadership.
